Saxon Math Renewed for Publication

The popular math program developed by John Saxon has been renewed for digital and print publication

November 2025 Update: Saxon Math Renewed to 2030

Many customers have asked us about the future of Saxon Math. We have good news to share with you. Saxon Math has been renewed for publication digitally and in print.

For a number of years, rumors and reports have circulated that Saxon Math would no longer be available. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), the company that owns the publishing rights for Saxon Math, has been shifting more of its offerings to digital programs and away from print programs, so Saxon Math, along with several other programs, had previously been scheduled for retirement.

The good news is that HMH has approved a proposal to continue selling the currently available editions of Saxon Math for both school and homeschool use to 2030. This commitment to maintain the availability of Saxon Math is both for existing Saxon users and for new users interested in adopting Saxon Math for the first time.

We expect to have more details about future Saxon Math offerings when longer-term plans are finalized. Watch this page for future updates.

Saxon Math remains in print four decades after its founding because of the amazing loyalty of the teachers and parents who choose Saxon for their students. We share your passion for the success of your students, and we are immensely gratified by your continuing support.
